We are looking for an Oracle/PostgreSQL developer to join our team in Belgrade, who is willing to actively participate in the design and development of high-load systems. This role offers the opportunity to grow within the larger team, as well as take ownership of the work and contribute to our goal of providing simple money transfer for our costumer all over the world. 

The main responsibilities will include:

• Development of the server part (packages, stored procedures, views, etc.), optimization of queries for high loads
• Development of data transfer between microservices
• Manage the configuration of production database on AWS
• Check the health of the production database and solving emerging issues

What you’ll need to be successful in the role

• Experience in developing for Oracle and/or PostgreSQL (server database objects - packages, stored procedures, views, etc.)
• Query optimization: skills in reading plans, indexing, rebuilding the physical storage structure in order to optimize performance, other methods
• Ability to understand someone else's code, independently understand the logic of programs and applications
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, AWS, Liquibase, Python
• Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement any scalable software services
• Oversee pre-production acceptance testing to ensure the high quality of a company’s product
• Managing the Python packages roll out to test environment

What will be a plus

• Banking or telecommunication experience
• PostgreSQL DB development experience
• Have an understanding in planning, implementation, and growth of the AWS cloud infrastructure
• English at a level not lower than intermediate.
